Flying near the US-Mexico border is always an interesting experience, since the two sides are very different. The Mexico side of the border is very dense city, while the US side is sparsely populated and predominantly agricultural outside of a few larger cities. I'm always amazed by the amount of cars and trucks lined up on the Mexican side of the border crossings, waiting to enter the United States, even during the pandemic.
The Border Report article explained how an increasing number of US citizens are being apprehended at the border by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for trying to bring illegal drugs into the US. With travel restricted between the two countries due to the pandemic, I guess it isn't too surprising but still caught me off-guard.
