On my way to San Diego I saw a huge crowd on the beach at Trestles, near San Onofre State Beach. Turns out it was the World Surf League 2015 Hurley Pro and Swatch Women's Pro Surfing Competition at Trestles. Surfers at both competitions receive points for their best events, which will be tallied and compared with surfers who compete in other competitions around the world. The surfer with the most points at the end of the tour becomes the 2015 ASP Surfing World Champion.
