Cal FIRE in Action!
Flying back from a photo shoot in the Mojave Desert, I noticed a lot of smoke in the Elizabeth Lake area. It looked big. As I got closer, I was able to see the first Cal FIRE firefighting aircraft on scene dropping water and refilling in the Los Angeles Aqueduct. Those helicopters got there quick! The fire was reported at 12:30 and I took those pictures 5 minutes later! Those Cal FIRE fire crews and firefighting aircraft are definitely on their game!!
