Santa Monica Beach Lifeguard Tower

Posted on June 10, 2010

Los Angeles County Department of Beaches is involved in a program where children have painted all 156 of the county's lifeguard towers. Having been a former beach lifeguard I spent many summers working in these and they were never much to look at until now. This one just north of the Santa Monica pier has fish painted on the roof. Now the lifeguard towers are much more colorful then all the umbrellas on the beach. I would be fun to see all of them.
